Tools for the everyday.

Meet the Maker

My name is Aaron Byard, and I build everyday carry knives for people who value tools that last, feel right, and earn their place over time.

Before knife making, I spent 14 years as a field biologist and practiced bushcraft and wilderness survival in my spare time. I was outdoors constantly and relied on my gear. When I couldn’t find a knife that matched my needs, I taught myself to make my own.

I started with Scandinavian style knives built for bushcraft and field use. As my needs evolved, so did my designs, shifting toward smaller knives with maximum capability for daily use. Tools for the everyday.

Function comes first in everything I make. Each knife is designed, tested, and refined to feel natural in the hand and dependable in demanding conditions. Once function is right, I focus on clean design and materials that age well. These are knives meant to be carried, used, and relied on daily.

I approach my work the same way I approach life: with curiosity, intention, and respect for the process. Growth matters. Craft Matters. Doing things well matters.

Every Knife bears my maker’s mark and my name. I stand behind my work and am grateful to everyone who chooses to carry it.

Thank you for taking the time to read and support my work. I hope one of my knives becomes a trusted tool you reach for often.

Aaron Byard,
Maker.
